What this site collects, which is close to nothing

This site sets no cookies of its own, has no accounts to sign into, no forms to fill in and no mailing list. There is nothing here that asks who you are, so for an ordinary visit there is nothing to tell you about beyond what your browser does anyway.

Analytics

Visits are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, and it is the only measurement on the site.

It is cookieless. It does not write a cookie to your browser, and it does not build a profile that follows you between sites. That is the reason it was chosen, and it is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner to read this page: there is no consent to collect for something that stores nothing on your device.

Google Analytics was removed from this stack in August 2026 and is not coming back. It wrote identifying cookies, which under European rules require consent before the script loads — and a consent banner is itself a blocking script that slows down the thing it sits on. Removing the tracker closed the question instead of managing it.

What the analytics reports is aggregate: which pages were opened, roughly where in the world from, which browsers. Not who.

Server logs

Serving a page necessarily involves your IP address reaching a server, the same as with any website. That is a property of how the web works rather than a choice made here, and the hosting provider handles those records under its own terms.

If you write to us

The address on the contact page goes to an ordinary mailbox. Your message and your address sit in it, are used to reply to you, and are used for nothing else. Nothing is added to a list, because there is no list. If you would like the correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.

Links that leave the site

Where this site links to an operator, a regulator or a booking platform, following that link takes you to a different company with a different privacy policy, and what happens to you there is governed by theirs.

Some outbound links are commercial, and where they are, they are marked as such in the markup and route through a redirect on this domain rather than pointing straight out. That redirect exists to keep those links in one place so they can be checked and changed; it is not used to build a profile of you. Children

Nothing here is aimed at children, and nothing here knowingly collects information from anybody.

Changes

If what this page describes changes, this page changes with it and carries the date. A privacy policy that describes a site’s behaviour from a year ago is worse than none, because it is believed.
